Ayr Citadel Corps.
The Salvation Army in Ayr has, for over 100 years been a significant and effective ‘force for good’ in the community of South Ayrshire. Motivated by the love of God, it seeks to make a difference in its local community in practical ways.
Although it’s well known for its social and community ministries, The Salvation Army is less well known as a thriving and relevant mainstream Christian Church. In Ayr, we've changed our physical location several times! Today you can find us at the Wallacetown Parish Church halls on John Street in Ayr. Everyone is made welcome at our weekly activities which include adult and youth programmes.
Our Sunday morning worship starts at 10:45 am and is usually finished by 12:15 pm. Children are made to feel at home in our friendly congregation and specific kids activities run to coincide with our worship service. A highlight of family worship is our coffee fellowship, immediately after the service.
The preaching is powerful and bible-based and you probably can't worship anywhere else where a brass band accompanies the singing every week! Looking for a spiritual home? Come join our Army!
